Pros

• Ideal size and frame. Great height, and long arms
• Elite speed, runs a 4.4 40, incredible for a guy his size
• Can stop on a dime, and very smooth in-and-out of breaks
• Never drops passes, has strong hands and snatches the ball out of the air
• Tough to bring down, does a good job breaking tackles. Not afraid to go over the middle
• Great leaper, has great body control
• Has good football IQ, understands defenses, and does a nice job finding soft spots in Zone
• Has tremendous upside, potential is off the charts

Cons

• Sometimes gets lackadaisical on routes
• Doesn't always give 100% effort on every play
• Could stand to improve as a run blocker
• Had a minor shoulder injury in '09

Overall

This draft is chalked full of phenomenal athletes and guys with potential to be hall of famers, A.J Green is one of the headliners, as arguably the best WR Prospect ever. I'd still take Calvin Johnson over Green coming out of college, but the argument can definitely can be made for Green. Green's combination of size, speed, and athleticism is off the charts. At 6 foot 4, he obviously has the size to make him an easy target for QB's, he also has a huge wingspan, and is an elite jumper who can go up and get any ball. He catches everything in sight, never drops passes, and is not afraid to go over the middle. Also is very agile and elusive in the open field, and despite being a bit lanky, he is a load to tackle, and usually always breaks the first tackle. Green has all the potential in the world, and he really could be one of the greatest receivers to play this game. Will not go lower than pick #6.
