Lane, like all players that come out of Division 2 have very few things that are set in stone about their game, as what works in the F.C.S does not work at the pro level. What we do know about Lane is that he was dominant in college as his stats indicate, clearly a man among boys, he was effective at the Senior Bowl, using his quick hands and high motor to get pressure on the quarterback, and he ran a terrible 40 time at the combine 4.86. Lane made is mark in college on hustle, strength, and explosion, but lacks elite athleticism, which may have his best fit at the 5 technique in a 3-4 defense. Lane obviously is a developmental player, and will take some time. He doesn't have the greatest upside, but with some coaching should develop into a very solid, and productive starter. Lane could go anywhere in the third or fourth rounds.
