Overall
Alshon Jeffery's last 2 years have been somewhat of a roller coaster. He had a monster Sophomore season, then a somewhat disappointing Junior season, followed by an outstanding Bowl Game performance, ending his college career on a high note. When Jeffery is going good, and getting the ball, he is extremely difficult to defend. His 6-4 235 Pound Frame is built to the max, as he physically dominates defensive backs at the line, and down the field. Anything thrown in Jeffery's relative vicinity you can bet he is coming down with. His height, leaping ability, strong hands, and concentration allow him to haul in any pass thrown his way. The biggest knock on Jeffery is his supposed lack of speed, and ability to create separation. While Jeffery is not a burner by any means, I do not think his speed is a liability. He is deceptively fast, and is a lot faster than his timed speed will lead you to believe. Don't pay too much attention to his 40 time, but rather his short shuttle would be something to take a look at, as that really measures a players explosiveness. I like Jeffery a lot, and think that he has all the ability to be a #1, Plaxico Burress type receiver, and get you about a dozen TD's a season. Jeffery is a Top 15 talent, but in a deep WR class, might not go until the Twenties.
