Pros

Cons

Overall

In a class of cornerbacks who have elite athleticism, Aaron Williams is a bit different, as he is not the physical specimen that guys like Patrick Peterson and Prince Amukamara are, but he is very solid and gets the job done. He has well rounded technique, and has a high football IQ, he always knows what is going on, and his aggressiveness makes up a lot for his lack of athleticism. He does an excellent job reading the QB and the WR, driving on the ball, and making nice plays with his hands. There is a lot of concern though with his lack of elite speed, he will never be a shutdown cornerback because he usually needs safety help over the top because he can't keep up with elite NFL level speed. He might even be a better fit at safety where he could use his instincts and awareness to be a Ballhawk, and where his lack of elite speed would not be easily exploited. Aaron Williams is a flat-out football player who will never be a star, but will be a very valuable player to an NFL defense in some way. He will be an early 2nd round selection. Reminds me a lot of Antrel Rolle, currently of the Giants.
