Jahvid Best has tremendous upside as a player in the NFL. As mentioned he is possibly the fastest overall player in the draft (Low 4.3), has great agility, and has the extraordinary ability to change directions without slowing down, and stop and then re-accelerated instantaneously. Unlike other backs his size, he has great ball carrier vision and can run between the tackles, he quickly identifies the hole and bursts through it. His 7.2 yards per carry in college are staggering, and was no fluke, he rushed for 8.1 yards per carry on 194 attempts as a Sophomore, and was on pace to continue that until he got hurt as a Junior. He does have serious concerns though as to whether he can be a feature back at the next level, he is slim in stature, isn't the most physical runner, and whether he can hold up to a 16 game NFL season toting the rock 20 times a game is a major question mark. At the very least, Jahvid Best could be a very effective change of pace back to a more physical runner, but if he can get stronger and prove he can handle the physicality of the NFL, he has the potential to be one of the most explosive players in the league.
