Morgan Burnett

Pros

Cons

Overall

Morgan Burnett's film and numbers speak for themselves, he is a ball-hawk who has great instincts, and terrific ball skills. Intercepting 12 passes in his 3 seasons as a Yellow Jacket, he showed his tremendous hands, excellent closing speed, and great playmaking ability. Burnett is very aggressive and gambles a lot, either getting the jackpot with an interception or big hit, or getting burned for a long pass or missing an important tackle. Obviously very talented, with natural ability and instincts for the game, but many things in his game need refinement, and he can't be relied on as a rookie. Burnett has a very high upside and could wind up being a playmaking safety at the next level, but he is raw, and will take time to develop. Burnett is a late second to early third round pick.
