Chad Jones

Pros

Cons

Overall

Chad Jones is one of my favorite prospects in this years draft, he flies a bit under the radar because of his lack of interceptions, and just average 40 time, but it's hard not to fall in love with him when you watch him. He plays with reckless abandon, full speed every play until the whistle, and receivers don't dare go over the middle, as he will lay anybody and everybody out. He has great instincts, quickly reads plays, and gets to where he needs to be quickly. A physical tackler, shoots himself up from his safety position, and is often seen making tackles at, or behind the line of scrimmage. Did I mentioned he is a great return man? On the flip side, his speed is a legitimate concern, a high 4.5 50 is not good at all, and whether he can keep up with the quickness and speed of the N.F.L is a question. He needs to get better at making play at the ball, looks very awkward trying to make interceptions when they aren't throw right to him. Overall I think Chad Jones is one of the more underrated prospects in this years draft, and some team in the late first or early second round will be very pleased with what they have in Chad Jones.
