Charles Brown

Pros

Cons

Overall

Charles Brown is a very safe prospect who has proven that he can be a reliable starter at left tackle in the N.F.L. When it comes to how much better he can be though, there are 2 sides to look at. Brown is a fantastic pass blocker, he is extremely athletic, a converted tight end, that uses textbook footwork, is very quick, and an all-around great athlete at left tackle. On the downside he is not a great run blocker, he definitely needs to get stronger. Sometimes gets pushed around, is not able to drive his man off the line most plays, and just doesn't have the upper or lower body strength that you would want out of a N.F.L tackle. That is really the only downside to his game, other than that he is a very polished player who has no problems dealing with the speed and athleticism in the N.F.L. If Brown can hit the weight room and gain upper and lower body strength, there is very little holding him back from being a top-notch Left Tackle at the next level. He would be a great fit in a zone blocking system, and his potential to get stronger and better will have him getting selected sometime in the late first round.
