Chris Cook is a cornerback with a ton of potential and could wind up being a terrific corner in 2 or 3 years, but for now we label him as a "project", and someone who may take some time to develop. Is a great athlete, great combination of size and speed, can physically can match up with any receiver in the league. Cook though is not reliable at this point, footwork and technique is raw, is pretty inexperienced, and can get turned around and lost while running. Cook also has other concerns, has battled injuries throughout his college career, and missed all of the '08 season because he was academically ineligible, and was really a no name until his senior season, and then combine efforts. There is no questioning Cook's athleticism, and potential to be great, but there are many other corners in this draft that come without the risk, and potential baggage that Cook does. Chris Cook could be a pro-bowler in 3 years, or he could be out of the league before his rookie contract ends. His high upside will have some team picking him in the second or early third round.
