Terrence Cody

Pros

Cons

Overall

Really, summing up Terrence Cody's game is very simple. He is a monster nose tackle in a 3-4 defense that eats up space, free's up blockers, and can collapse the pocket, also he is overweight. Cody has in the past, tipped the scales at over 400 LBS, his weight currently fluctuates between 355 and 375. Obviously conditioning is a major red flag, and to be successful at the next level he is going to have to lose weight and maintain it. If he can do that, there is little else preventing him from being a dominant nose tackle. He really is a good athlete, it's just that his weight prevents him from being what he can be. He is extremely strong, demands a double team, and will free up space for his teammates on the front 7 to make plays. Cody is a high risk, high reward prospect. And with over half the N.F.L now running the 3-4, he will peak the interests of many teams in the back half of the first round. He is a late first to early second round pick, who probably won't slide past Kansas City at the top of round 2.
