Pros

Cons

Overall

Rennie Curran is someone I think is highly undervalued by most people, great athlete, very smart player, and was extremely productive in college playing against high level competition in the SEC, but his stock takes a hit from most people based on his size. Granted at 5-11 (generously) Curran does not have the ideal height you would want for an N.F.L linebacker, he does get overpowered by offensive lineman, and does have a hard time fighting off blockers. If Curran is placed in the right defensive scheme, preferably a cover 2 defense, or with any defensive coordinator the will give him some free reign, Curran could be very productive at the next level. He is a missile to the football, sure tackler (100 tackles in each of the past 2 seasons), heavy hitter, and has a very high football IQ, he diagnoses plays very quickly and flies to the football. Curran is one of those guys who is just a "football player", and finds a way to get the job done. Curran will get drafted later than he should, probably somewhere in the 3rd round, and will be a steal.
