Dan Williams

Pros

Cons

Overall

Williams greatest value as a prospect, is his ability to be a nose tackle and anchor a 3-4 defense. With the explosion of teams switching switching to a 3-4, many of them without a legitimate nose tackle, Williams will be an attractive target for many teams in the first round. Dan Williams has the size necessary and certainly has the strength to get a push up the middle, he does a good job eating up blockers and space, freeing up room for the outside pass rushers. Also is underrated as an athlete, he has very good quickness and explosion, but he doesn't always show it because he isn't in the greatest shape, and his endurance is a concern. As mentioned over the course of the game, he gets tired and his play falls off, often puffing air while his team is on the field on third down. This is something though that is certainly not foreign to nose tackles, even some of the best in N.F.L have issues with stamina. Overall he offers great value because of his ability to play the nose tackle. Williams is a top 20 pick and could come off the board as high as 11 to Denver.
