Pros

Cons

Overall

Carlos Dunlap has the potential to be an elite pass rusher at the next level, he has perfect size, very athletic, and is a big game player who can be unblockable when he wants to be, the problem is that more often than not, he doesn't. Obviously the DUI is a huge red flag, especially at the point of the season in which it happened, maturity is a major concern, and it shows both on and off the field, can play lazy and quit when things aren't going his way, his technique is often sloppy and plays soft way too often. It seems that the negatives outweigh the positives in Dunlap's case, but if he can get his "stuff" together and get focused there is no question he can be a pro-bowl pass rusher. Dunlap should come off the board in the later part of the first round, he is the quintessential boom or bust pick that someone will be willing to gamble on.
