Dekoda Watson is a terrific all around athlete, very fast, good strength, good body control, anything from an athletic stand point Watson excels at. What really knocks his stock down is his size, he is undersized at only 6 foot 1, and plays about his size. He has a hard time getting off blockers, and actually getting to the ball carrier, gets caught up in traffic, and once engaged he is pretty much done for that play. Watson should be able to find a niche though, in a defensive scheme that will allow him to aggressively play in space, and away from blockers, possibly a cover 2 defense. Watson will not appeal to every team because of his size, but if placed in the right system he could excel as a fast, hard hitting linebacker. Watson should get picked in the mid 3rd, to early 4th round.
