Overall
Fletcher Cox is a guy who, with some coaching and development, has the talent to be a dominant N.F.L Defensive Lineman. At 6-4 and almost 300 pounds he is an explosive athlete, with great quickness and strength, sometimes proving to be impossible to block with just 1 man. However, Cox is a very raw prospect who does a lot of things wrong from a technique standpoint, but still proved to be a tremendous college player because of his relentlessness, and non-stop motor as a pass rusher. He gives coaches a lot to work with, having the versatile size to play in any scheme, works hard, and has those skills that coaches cannot teach. He needs to play with a higher football IQ, so as to be more effective in Gap Control. He also needs to work on playing with better pad level, and hand technique so that he can be better equipped to take on double teams, and get off blocks to make a play on the ball. As mentioned, those are all things that can be taught, but at the moment he will struggle in stopping the run, and defeat double teams when he seems them. I think that Cox will develop, he is very close already, flashing the ability to be a complete player, also having the effort level, and work ethic to improve. Because of his schematic versatility and upside, he will appeal to any team looking for defensive line help in the Top 10
