Pros

• Ideal Height and weight of an NFL Quarterback (6'5 240lbs)
• Great arm strength that can make all the NFL throws
• Good pocket mobility and awareness
• Tough, has played through pain, and shows willingness to stand strong in the pocket and get hit
• Quick release, throws good ball with tight spiral
• Very accurate in short throws
• Very good leader, both on and off the field
• Experienced has been a full time starter for 2 years in Big-12

Cons

• Panics when under pressure and gets flustered
• Struggles to throw when moving to his left.  Most passing plays went to the right
• Played in a very passer friendly spread scheme that was based almost entirely on underneath throws.
• Didn't have to make NFL type reads in Missouri's spread offense
• Very rarely under center. Will have to learn how to take a simple three and five step drop
• Takes too many risks, and makes bad decisions when plays break down

Overall

Gabbert has all the physical skills you would want out of a NFL quarterback. He has the size, arm strength, mobility, and accuracy NFL teams crave. However, there are legitimate questions about his ability to read defenses, taking snaps from the center, and handling pressure. Spread quarterbacks usually have a tougher time coming to the NFL because they played in systems that didn't require them to do a lot of NFL type reads or throws. Gabbert also does not do well under pressure, when flushed out of the pocket, especially to his left, he does not to well, and tends to make bad decisions. Gabbert has the talent to be an elite quarterback and be the first QB off the board, but questions about his NFL readiness will hold him back. Gabbert stock has a sizeable bust factor attached to it, but with so many teams needing quarterbacks, we will definitely go in the Top 15 picks.
