Pros

Cons

Overall

I view Greg Jones as one of the most underrated players in this years draft. While he is not a workout warrior and his drill times and measureables don't wow people, Greg Jones is just a terrific linebacker who's play speaks for itself. Greg Jones was an impact player at inside linebacker for the Michigan Sate Spartans for the past 4 years, he was the unquestioned leader of that defense, a tackling machine, and always came up with big plays for his defense when needed. His skill set doesn't quite translate to Inside Linebacker at the next level, but I think he would be a great fit as a Weakside Linebacker in a 4-3. He is a very good pass rusher for a linebacker, he times his blitzes very well, and has excellent closing speed. He has great instincts, awareness, and is an incredibly smart football player who has great vision and knows when and how to attack. He reminds me a lot of Mike Peterson when he was really going good for the Jags and Colts, as a guy who doesn't have the measureables and flashy athleticism, but just gets the job done at a high level. A team leader, hard worker, and just a straight-up football player. I would take him early in the second, but he probably won't go until the 3rd.
