Had Gresham come out as a Junior last year, he would have been a top 20 pick, but deciding to return for his senior season proved costly when he injured his knee before the season and never played a single snap. His knee injury as well as being away from football for an full season will be a major concern for teams, but his talent and production level when healthy in college, assure him a spot in the first round come April. He is by far the best tight end prospect in this years draft despite the injury, he has the prototypical size for a big time tight end, soft hands, and will create matchup nightmares for opposing defenses. Too big to be covered by defensive backs, and too athletic to be covered by a linebacker, he is great out of the slot (ala Dallas Clark), and is strong enough to hold his own as a blocker despite specializing as a pass catcher. When on the field Gresham plays like Antonio Gates, tremendous athlete, great hands, and a terror to bring down in the open field. Gresham will open up the middle of the field for his offense, and add a whole new dimension to that teams passing attack.
