Montario Hardesty is a very solid running back prospect, and is a case of a guy who does a lot of things right but nothing great, he isn't flashy but gets the job done. His best attribute would be his vision, he does a good job identifying holes between the tackles, and making quick decisions to burst through the line when available. He is also a physical runner, easily shrugs off arm tackles, and keeps his feet moving on first contact, is a very good Yards After Contact guy. On the downside Hardesty doesn't have ideal speed, doesn't have breakaway speed, and won't break many long runs. What he does well, he turn into good production and should be able to do so at the next level too, as there always is a need for running back who hit the hole hard, and break tackles. Hardesty should get picked in the late second to early third round range.
