Pros

Cons

Overall

Ingram showed flashes of greatness in his Heisman trophy season, but after taking a step back in 2011, questions have risen regarding Ingram’s potential. Ingram's best trait is his uncanny ability to anticipate where the hole in the defense will be, patience in the backfield, and then exploding through the hole. While he has great power and versatility, he does not show elite speed. He is not slow, but he lacks breakaway speed, and won't break off many 20+ yard runs. Because of Ingram's power running style, and willingness to absorb hits, his durability is a concern, and he could potentially have a short career with all the hits he takes. Although he is the best back in this draft, he still needs some work, and may need a smaller back to compliment him in a two-back system. Ingram projects to be a top 20 pick in this year’s draft.
