Overall
Usually, I am not very concerned with character flaws with kids coming out of college, but I have major doubts about Janoris Jenkins. Kids like Ryan Mallett, Dez Bryant, I have touted because I think there is a difference between being an immature college kid, and being a bad person. Unfortunately, I view Jenkins to be more of a Pacman Jones, Aqib Talib type, than just a kid who has made some bad decisions. At Florida it was issue after issue with Jenkins, and eventually Florida was forced to get rid of him (You know it's bad when you get booted out of the S.E.C). Numerous drug problems, multiple occasions of him getting in fights off the field, which included one that ended up with him getting arrested and Tased. Then even at North Alabama, he was suspended one more time for throwing a punch in a game. To me, Jenkins just does not get it, and I don't think he is smart enough to have a long healthy N.F.L Career. Personally, I think his overall intelligence is an issue when it comes to on the field as well, he just doesn't seem to be too bright, and I question his ability to pick up an N.F.L Level Defense. As anybody will tell you, if Jenkins can turn his life around and stay out of trouble, he will be an elite player in the league. He's a tremendous athlete, and can do it all on the field. I just doubt his mental abilities, and he has done nothing to make me think otherwise. Jenkins will likely go in the first 40 picks, but I personally wouldn't want him on my team.
