Pros

Cons

Overall

Kelechi Osemele is a very intriguing prospect who has dominant size, and does a lot of things really well, but also struggles in more than a couple areas. He played Left Tackle at Iowa State, but at 350 Pounds, and just average footwork, he is definitely slated for Guard at the next level. He should transition very well to Guard because he works very well in tight quarters, thanks to tremendous hand use, and very long arms. He also has the brute strength, along with the monster size to overwhelm defenders. However, Osemele doesn't use his size and strength as well as you would like. He does a great job engaging, and locking down defenders, but he isn't that much of a road grader, and doesn't move people off the line as good as you would think. Lacking that aggression, and mean-streak He also plays much too high, so he sometimes is gets knocked off balance too easily. However, those couple things can be taught, so he has room to get much better as a player. Osemele does show a lot of weaknesses, but I think he will be a great Guard in the N.F.L, because the change of position will minimize the weaknesses you now see at Tackle, but then maximize his strengths which are using his size, and hand use to dominate in tight spaces. He could play in any scheme, but would be especially good in a Z.B.S.
