Wisconsin's run first, road grading offense, continues to churn out top notch NFL Offensive lineman. Kevin Zeitler was a perfect fit in the offense as a guy with great size and strength, who bullied guys at the college level, paving the way for guys like John Clay and Montee Ball to run wild. Zeitler has everything you look for out of a starting Guard in the N.F.L. As a run blocker, he is as good as it gets, possessing elite strength, does a great job in the trenches engaging and locking on to his man, while also being polished from a technique, and footwork standpoint. In the Badgers system however, he wasn't asked to do a whole lot of straight drop back pass protection, but he should have no problems there really. Zeitler is a guy who you can plug in from day 1, immediately upgrading your O-Line from a run blocking standpoint. He gets over-looked because he isn't flashy (But hey, how many Guards are?), but I have no doubts Zeitler will be a consistent, reliable starter in the league for a long time, and will likely make his fair share of Pro-Bowls. In that second tier of Guards, he should go early in round 2.
