Lamarr Houston

Pros

Cons

Overall

Lamarr Houston has the ability to be a very good 3 technique penetrating defensive tackle in the NFL.  He plays with good quickness, burst, and explosion to get off the ball well and create problems in the opponents backfield. Houston also does a good job taking on double teams and is good against the run. Houston does struggle though against bigger lineman and can be taken out of plays all together. He is still relatively raw to the positron because he was a former running back, this shows in his reads and in problems trying to jump the snaps causing offsides penalties, needs some coaching. Houston might be able to play a 3-4 DE because of the way he handles double teams, but his best fit is going to be in the 4-3, Houston could also play some left (strongside) defensive end in the 4-3 if needed. Could get picked anywhere in the second round, or early third round.
