Overall
Jake Locker would have contended with Sam Bradford to be the #1 overall pick but chose to return for his senior year. However, Locker wanted to help the Huskies to a bowl game and continue his development under Steve Sarkisian. Unfortunately Locker struggled through his season and his stock really took a hit. Locker had some really bad moments this season, none worse than a 4-20 game with 2 interceptions in a blowout loss at home to Nebraska. That game highlighted all of Locker's issues, he forced throws, and panicked when under pressure far too often this year. However, Locker was a part of some poor Washington teams where he wasn't surrounded with much good talent. He does have all physical tools that you would want out of an NFL Quarterback, and then some, when you add in his high level athleticism. Also, he has played in something close to an NFL Style offense the last 2 seasons, he is a hard worker, and leader and he is really going to impress a lot of teams with his character. Locker would be best served to join a team where he won't have to start immediately and continue his development. If Locker can improve his accuracy and make better decisions he could be a very good quarterback in the NFL.
