Everybody dogs on Luke Stocker because he is not the greatest athlete, and while he profiles as a blocker first, Stocker is a complete tight end, and his abilities as a receiver are underrated. While by no means is he the next Antonio Gates, Stocker uses his strong hands and high football IQ to find open zones in the defense and catch anything thrown his way. He is also very effective as a blocker, he is excellent as a run blocker, driving smaller ends off the line, and continuing on blocking into the second level. He also is solid as a pass protector where he uses excellent technique and footwork to give his QB extra time. I would compare him to Steelers Tight End Heath Miller, someone who profiles as a blocker first, and isn't a great athlete, but gets the best out of his ability and can come up big when needed. Stocker is a complete player who will have a long healthy NFL Career.
