Pros

Cons

Overall

Joe McKnight should make for a very effective weapon at the next level, as a do everything type player, but not as an every down runner. McKnight could be compared to a Felix Jones, Reggie Bush type player, terrific athlete, can get 10-15 carries a game, be lined up in the slot, and return some kicks. Is a threat to score every time he touches the ball, has ankle breaking moves in the open field, and has the breakaway speed you love to have on your team. McKnight though will never be an every down back, he is not big, strong, or durable enough, and just doesn't break enough tackles at the line of scrimmage, isn't powerful enough. McKnight certainly will play a valuable role on an N.F.L team, and is a weapon any team would love to have. We should see him come off the board some time in the 3rd round.
