2010 NFL Mock Draft- Round 5

Updated: April 22nd

#132) St Louis Rams- Eric Decker (WR Minnesota)
Donny Avery is all they got right now at Wide Receiver
#133) Seattle Seahawks- Jeremy Williams (WR Tulane)
Seattle has tried to fill their void at receiver with high profile guys for years and it hasn't worked. Tulane's Jeremy Williams is a low risk, high reward pick
#134) Cleveland Browns- George Selvie (DE/OLB South Florida)
Need a pass rusher in their 3-4 defense, and Selvie is an ideal fit in the 3-4
#135) Washington Redskins- J.D Walton (Center Baylor)
They still have much work to do to upgrade their O-line.
#136) Kansas City Chiefs- Robert Johnson (Safety Utah)
After passing on Berry at #5 Robert Johnson is a good consolation, very underrated player and could wind up being a steal
#137) Philadelphia Eagles- Alterraun Verner (CB U.C.L.A)
You can never have too many cornerbacks, and Verner is a great value here
#138) Oakland Raiders- Dorin Dickerson (TE Pittsburgh)
Zach Miller is good, but it is doubtful that Al Davis will pass up this workout warrior here in the fifth
#139) Seattle Seahawks- Trevard Lindley (CB Kentucky)
Secondary was terrible last season, and if Lindley can get back to where he was 2 years ago he will be a steal
#140) Buffalo Bills- Zane Beadles (Guard Utah)
Buffalo needs to do everything they can to improve their god-awful offensive line. Beadles can play either guard or tackle, and should be able to start as a rookie.
#141) Chicago Bears- Walter McFadden (CB Auburn)
Third round pick Chris Cook could play safety, and if he does than they still have a need at corner.
#142) Kansas City Chiefs- Stafon Johnson (RB U.S.C)
Great comeback story for Stafon Johnson! Kansas City is in the market to add another back to compliment Jamaal Charles
#143) Jacksonville Jaguars- Kam Chanellor (Safety Virginia Tech)
Reggie Nelson has disappointed, and have little talent besides him.
#144) Kansas City Chiefs- Phillip Dillard (ILB Nebraska)
Kansas City needs linebackers, and Dillard is a versatile 'backer who offers great value in the fifth round
#145) San Francisco 49ers- Jordan Shipley (WR Texas)
The slot receiver, and kick returner is a great weapon who can make an impact as a rookie.
#146) Cleveland Browns- Barry Church (Safety Toledo)
After just missing out on Eric Berry in the first round, Cleveland still has a major hole at safety. Church is an under the radar prospect with great potential
#147) New York Giants- Kevin Haslam (OT Rutgers)
Giants lack depth at the tackle position, and Kevin Haslam is the best lineman left on the board
#148) Tennessee Titans- Riley Cooper (WR Florida)
Even though we have them taking Jacoby Ford in the third, he is more of a utility player. Cooper has the size to be a #1, or 2 receiver and is a great value in the 5th
#149) Atlanta Falcons- Ed Dickson (TE Oregon)
Tony Gonzalez is towards the end of his career, and Dickson is a steal at this pick
#150) Houston Texans- Cord Howard (Guard Georgia Tech)
Houston is a good offensive line away from being a true contender in the A.F.C, Howard is a good fit in their Zone Blocking system
#151) Pittsburgh Steelers- Brandon Carter (Guard Texas Tech)
Carter is a beast of an offensive lineman, very strong, tough, better known as the guy with the crazy face paint.
#152) Cincinnati Bengals- Stevenson Sylvester (OLB Utah)
Possibly the most undervalued player in the draft. I feel Sylvester will be steal here for the Bengals
#153) Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Adam Ulatoski (OT Texas)
Donald Penn is alright, but really have nothing at tackle opposite him.
#154) Green Bay Packers- Rahim Alem (DE L.S.U)
Alem has the ideal size and physical attributes to man the 5 technique for the Packers.
#155) Pittsburgh Steelers- Antonio Coleman (DE/OLB Auburn)
Great value for Pittsburgh, Coleman can immediately add some juice to their pass rush
#156) Baltimore Ravens- Micah Johnson (ILB Kentucky)
Baltimore needs to groom someone to hopefully step in for Ray Lewis in a few years. Johnson fits what the Ravens like out of linebackers.
#157) Baltimore Ravens- Dennis Pitta (TE B.Y.U)
What a steal for Baltimore, because of some team needs Pitta falls into the second round, and can immediately make an impact for the Ravens.
#158) Oakland Raiders- Armanti Edwards (WR Appalachian State)
Armanti Edwards has the speed and playmaking ability that the Raiders need, and also love.
#159) San Diego Chargers- Devin Ross (CB Arizona)
With Cromartie gone, they are a little thin at corner, and Ross is the best one left.
#160) Cleveland Browns- Dexter Davis (DE/OLB Arizona State)
Can never have too many pass rushers, and at this point its all about taking the BPA
#161) Minnesota Vikings- Sergio Render (Guard Virginia Tech)
Anthony Herrera was awful last season, Render can hopefully push him as a rookie, and at the very least add depth to the line.
#162) Indianapolis Colts- Tim Hiller (QB Western Michigan)
Curtis Painter was horrible when he played last season, Hiller is very underrated and could be the heir apparent to Manning.
#163) St Louis Rams- Andre Dixon (RB Connecticut)
Need somebody to take a little bit of the load off Steven Jackson who has been worked to death the past few seasons.
#164) Pittsburgh Steelers- Jarrett Brown (QB West Virginia)
With Big Bens legal issues, and the bevy of picks the Steelers have, they should spend at least 1 on insurance for Roethlisberger
#165) Atlanta Falcons- Greg Hardy (DE Mississippi)
Atlanta's pass rush lacks major depth aside from John Abraham, and Hardy could end up being a steal if he can keep his weight in order.
#166) Pittsburgh Steelers- Mitch Petrus (Guard Arkansas)
Pittsburgh O-Line is awful, and Petrus at the very least will add depth.
#167) Minnesota Vikings- Jimmy Graham (TE Miami)
Although the Vikings aren't desperate for a tight end, Graham is the BPA, and on a team with very few holes this is a good pick.
#168) San Diego Chargers- Marcus Easley (WR Connecticut)
Marcus Easley has had a terrific draft pre-season tearing up the combine and impressing scouts. Offers a lot of potential.
#169) Green Bay Packers- Reggie Carter (ILB U.C.L.A)
Can never have too many linebackers, Carter is just a good depth guy.
