Nate Allen is NFL ready, could start for a team right now. Very solid prospect, sure tackler, good technique, fundamentally sound, no injuries, also extremely smart and a leader on the field. The issue with Allen is that he doesn't have a ton of upside, does not possess the unteachable things like speed and athletic ability. He does everything well but doesn't really excel and at certain thing. Allen can step in from day 1 and can be a starting Safety in the NFL, pick up a scheme quickly, and be a cog in a good defense, but the lack of elite talent bumps him back a bit. Allen should be the 4th or 5th safety to come off the board somewhere in the second round.
