Navorro Bowman has all the physical attributes to be the next great linebacker out of "Linebacker U". Extremely athletic, smart player with great instincts, and plays with great effort and physicality. Bowman would be rated much higher if not for his concerns off the field. As mentioned he has had run ins with the law too often, and the team that pulls the trigger on him will have to convince themselves that he has overcame those issues and will be more focused and mature as an N.F.L player. With the crackdown in personal conduct in the N.F.L recently teams will no doubt be shy to invest high dollars in a guy with the problems he has faced. If he can put all those things behind him though, there are very few doubts that he will be an impact player at the next level. He would be a great fit as a weakside linebacker in a 4-3 defense. Plays a lot like Bears Pro-Bowl weakside linebacker Lance Briggs. Bowman should come off the board in the late first to early second round range.
