Pros

Cons

Overall

The only thing not to like about Drake Nevis is that he is undersized. His height, weight, and arm length are all less than ideal which will limit him once he starts going up against NFL sized offensive lineman. But pretty much everything else about his game is a positive, and if he had the size, he would be considered a top 10-15 overall prospect. We love the tenacity and effort that Nevis plays with, as soon as the ball is snapped, Nevis explodes and uses his extremely active, and violent hands to bully lineman. He has very good strength, and his bull rush is very effective. He is also a very smart player who knows how to use his hands to penetrate, and has a good deal of finesse in his game. He would be an excellent fit in a 4-3 defense as a 3 Technique penetrator, playing next to a nose tackle, so he could focus solely on using his athleticism to penetrate.
