Perrish Cox

Pros

Cons

Overall

Perrish Cox may turn out to be one of those corners that takes some time to develop, but he certainly has the size, and athleticism to be a top notch cornerback. Cox was extremely productive in college racking up 10 interceptions and a whopping 36 passes defended, he really has a nose for the ball, times his jumps very well, and just has a knack for disrupting plays. On the downside there are a few technique issues that he needs to clean up, he tends to play a little high, giving up a step or two coming out of his pack pedal, and is inconsistent with his positioning, he gives up too many easy passes, and can get turned in man coverage. He also has a few characters issues that knock his stock down, was arrested before his senior season, and then suspended for the teams bowl game and pro-day for violating unspecified team rules. Cox seems to be a risky pick, but is he can be coached up and mature as a player and a person, there is little holding him back from being a very good corner at the next level. Should get picked anywhere in the second round.
