Overall
Austin Pettis doesn't have the measureables that a lot of receivers have, and doesn't have elite athletic ability, but Pettis is a straight up football player who can flat-out make plays. Whenever Boise needed a big play over the past 3 years, Pettis' number was called, and he always seemed to come through. While he will never be a dominant #1 receiver in the league, Pettis will be a very successful possession receiver who can work the middle, and be a big, reliable target for his quarterback. He reminds me a lot of Mushim Muhammed when he was really going good, someone who just knows how to get open and move the chains. A lot of people knock Pettis because he isn't a supreme athlete, but I'd love to have him on my team and I think he will wind up proving a lot of people wrong.
