Pros

Cons

Overall

Perry Riley is an underrated player who was very productive and effective as a starter for 2 years at L.S.U. He is an excellent run stopper who lets nothing get by him on the ground, terrific form tackler, rarely misses tackles, smart player, diagnoses plays very quickly, and is great in pursuit, take pristine angles to the ball, wades through traffic well, and wraps up and take down the ball carrier. On the downside, Riley offers nothing as a pass rusher, and is pretty bad in coverage, both zone and man, he needs to get his hips around quicker, position himself better in zone, and stay with his assigned man. Riley will most likely find his spot as a strong side linebacker in a 4-3 defense, but could potentially play any linebacker position. Riley is a mid round prospect, probably will get picked in the 4th or 5th round.
