Pros

Cons

Overall

In a very weak safety class, Rahim Moore stands out as one of the elites, and what makes him even more valuable, is that he is really the only free safety prospect, as every other safety fits better at the strong safety spot. Moore possesses great range and even better instincts. He is at his best when he is playing "center field" in coverage and reacting to the ball in the air. He has great ball skills and that really showed during his sophomore year when he picked off 10 passes, though his numbers dipped as a Junior as teams stopped throwing his way. While he isn't a bad tackler, Moore isn't very explosive and is more of a drag down type of tackler. He also has a slight frame and is going to have to add weight and get stronger. Moore is a good, but not great athlete, and isn't going to be a workout warrior at the combine. He is also a great teammate, a hard worker, and a very smart player. Whichever team takes Moore is going to get a very good coverage safety that could really improve their passing defense. Teams like the Jets, Ravens, Texans, Vikings, Bengals, Cardinals and Cowboys could take him in the late 1st to early second range.
