Robert Johnson and fellow Ute teammate Stevenson Sylvester go overlooked by most for reasons I don't fully understand. Johnson is a big time player who has stepped up and been a leader for an excellent Utah defense the past 2 seasons. He has great range and ball skills evidenced by his 13 career Interceptions, has good size, and adequate speed. Also stepped up in his Senior season when it came to run support, stepped up into the box more, polished up his tackling form, and showed he is an all around complete player. Johnson's game definitely has flaws though, most of them stemming from the fact that he just plays too high. He gets high in his back pedal, making it difficult to transition into his sprint, and tends to get high when tackling, leading to more than a few missed tackles. All things that can be overcome with coaching though. Johnson should have a long and healthy career in the League as a ball hawking safety, who will have gotten drafted later than he should have. Probably goes in round 5 or 6.
