Rolando McClain

Pros

Cons

Overall

Rolando McClain is an NFL ready Inside Linebacker, his calling card is having a high football IQ, and his alertness on the field. He is the prototypical QB of the defense, always directing traffic before the play, understands where everybody is supposed to be and always fill his gap. Was a tackling machine in college, great technique and delivers a blow every time. Also a great blitzer, great timing and has very nice pass rushing moves. The one downside in McClain's game is his lack of great speed. Despite all the things he does so well, there are concerns whether he has the speed and range to play MLB in a 4-3 defense. Overall we love Rolando McClain's and have very little doubt that he will be a standout linebacker in the NFL, especially if placed in a 3-4 defense. He is one of the smarter linebackers he have ever seen come out of college, and does everything right as a leader in the middle of the defense. He will be able to start from day 1 for his team and be a tackling machine. Top-10 talent, who will not fall out of the top 15 picks
