Pros

Cons

Overall

When you talk about Titus Young, the first thing you mention is his speed. He is in the mold of Desean Jackson and Mike Wallace, though he is just a tad slower than those 2. Young is a flat-out burner who will just run right past the defense. Just his presence on the field demands attention. He cannot be covered 1-on-1 in man coverage, and demands safety help, and bracket coverage over the top, as he is just too quick to be kept up with. He is also a sharp route runner, who can embarrass defensive backs with his double moves. Young will also make an impact as a dynamic return man. We do have some concern though about some off field issues. He was suspended for 10 games in '08 as a Sophomore for a still unknown violation of team rules. And he reportedly didn't take his pre-combine training all that seriously, which is possibly why he didn't run as fast as we expected him to. And naturally, his small stature gives way to concern about his potential durability. Young is that luxury weapon that every would love to have, someone who is a pure playmaker who can make something out of nothing. He should go early in round 2.
