Jason Worilds

Pros

Cons

Overall

Jason Worilds is very undervalued in my eyes by people in the scouting world. Worilds followed a great Sophomore season with a very disappointing Junior season, posting only 4.5 sacks. Worilds surely has some weak points in his game, but they won't be nearly as exposed playing DE/OLB in a 3-4 defense, as they were playing DE in a 4-3 defense. He is not good at all against the run, gets washed away by bigger lineman, and gets shut down once engaged. Though placed in a 3-4 defense, where he can best utilize his speed and explosion he will be very successful. At the combine he registered the best 10 yard split, which focuses more on a players explosion, rather than long term speed in the 40. He has a bevy of moves which allow him to attack the line around the outside, and uses his hands very well to get by lineman inside. Overall, Worilds could be a very successful and productive pass rusher if placed in a 3-4 defense, which will accentuate his strengths and minimize his weaknesses.
