As Free Agency has began to slow down it is the perfect time to take a look at the team needs for each team as we get closer to the 2019 NFL Draft. Listed below are the Arizona Cardinals Team Needs as they head into the 2019 NFL Draft listed in order of importance.
Arizona Cardinals Team Needs
The Cards had the worst line in the NFL last year and need to add some major upgrades upfront. DJ Humphries hasn’t performed as expected and the Cards should look to find a replacement early in this years draft.
Interior Offensive Line
The Cardinals aren’t only in need of tackles, they also need to add some youth at guard. Along the interior Mason Cole is the only viable long term option currently on the roster. Taking advantage of the depth of this offensive line class is vital for the Cards. Chris Lindstrom would be an ideal day 2 target at guard.
For years it seems the Cardinals have had a revolving door at CB opposite Patrick Peterson. Having added Robert Alford in free agency, the Cards may not feel they need to target CB early in the draft. Finding value in the mid rounds is vital if they want to address CB.
Larry Fitzgerald may have one year left in the tank, but the Cards need to add more talent at receiver. Christian Kirk was promising as a rookie, but Chad Williams isn’t going to cut it. Adding a quality receiver at the top of the second round would be ideal for Arizona
Perhaps not the biggest need for the Cards, but a direction I could see them going if they stay at number 1. There are rumors swirling that Robert Nkemdiche could be out of Arizona this off season. Quinnen Williams is my top player in the draft and well worth the first overall pick.
