With Free Agency about to begin it is the perfect time to take a look at the team needs for each team as we get closer to the 2020 NFL Draft. Listed below are the Tennessee Titans Team Needs as they head into the 2020 NFL Draft listed in order of importance.
2020 Tennessee Titans Team Needs
With Logan Woodside being the only quarterback on the roster under contract that is a huge deal. With Tom Brady being a free agent the Titans are one of the teams that could be a landing spot for the legendary quarterback while their fall back plan is resigning Ryan Tannehill who led the Titans to the AFC Championship Game last year.
Tennessee has a young talented pass rusher in Harold Landry but as we saw against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, they need more than just one guy. While the Titans could reunite Jadeveon Clowney and Mike Vrabel, they’ll more than likely turn to the draft and take a pass rusher with one of their first two picks.
Logan Ryan was a big time free agent signing a few years back giving the Titans a big physical cornerback to match up with the DeAndre Hopkins of the NFL. Now he is a free agent and likely to command a big contract. If he is not resigned the Titans will need to find their new banger. If Ryan does come back the Titans could still address the position as LeShaun Sims struggled while also finding an eventual replacement for Malcolm Butler.
For Tennessee to continue their offensive success rushing they need to keep their line strong. Jack Conklin didn’t get his 5th year option picked up last year because of injury concerns and now is rumored to be signing a big money deal elsewhere. Not only would the Titans need to replace Conklin but they could look to add another player at right guard where Nate Davis struggled last year.
The heart and soul of the Titans offense was Derrick Henry whose barrelled through opponents as the Titans leaned on him. Henry is a free agent but is looked to either be signed or franchised. But the real need is behind him as the Titans recently cut Dion Lewis who was the lightning to Henry’s thunder. Look for the Titans to find a quick receiving back to pair with Henry moving forward.
