The Falcons made it clear that they wanted to get tougher along the offensive line this offseason. That trend continued in the draft, spending two first round picks on the offensive line. Lindstrom is a very good guard who can move and get to his block with relative ease. And although I thought this was a reach to pick Lindstrom at 14th overall, he is still a very good player and I’m not going to knock the Falcons for reaching on a player like this. However, the rest of their draft left me underwhelmed. I question if any of these guys will make a significant positive impact on the team in the foreseeable future, including first round pick Kaleb McGary. He along with several other of the Falcons picks show they have physical tools to work with, but need a lot of coaching before the see an NFL field.
