Baltimore Ravens Team Needs

With Free Agency all but wrapped up and the draft on the horizon the Ravens needs are starting to become more in focus. As usual the Ravens are not big spenders in free agency and let some of their top players leave in free agency. Here is a look at the Baltimore Ravens Team Needs entering towards the 2018 NFL Draft.

Baltimore Ravens Team Needs

Right Tackle

It is no secret that the Ravens offensive decline can be traced back to their inability to restock after Kelche Osemele and Ricky Wagner left in free agency. With Ronnie Stanley entrenched at left tackle the Ravens need to find an upgrade over Austin Howard so Alex Lewis can move back to guard.

Center

Ryan Jensen played well replacing Jeremy Zuttah but signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Baltimore normally doesn’t resign their free agents to huge contracts so it wasn’t a surprise that he wasn’t retained. Without a center ready to step in the Ravens could use the draft to find their new starter.

Wide Receiver

Joe Flacco’s struggles have been a big issue, but it is not like he has many weapons to throw to as Breshad Perriman has been a bust. John Brown and Michael Cabtree were signed to fill specific roles but neither is considered a number one caliber receiver. Expect more moves at the position.

Running Back

Early season pickup Alex Collins provided a spark to the offense averaging over 4.6 yards per carry. Collins is a free agent and even if he returns the Ravens would be wise to add another running back due to Danny Woodhead being released and Kenneth Dixon’s inability to see the field.

Quarterback

As the 24th rated quarterback according to Pro Football Focus while the passing attacked ranked 29th in the league is clear that Joe Flacco is regressing. While Baltimore is not going to move on from him, finding a quarterback in the draft to develop behind Flacco is a must.

Tight End

Despite having four tight ends on the roster the position has been a weakness and a big part of why the Ravens finished with the 4th worse passing attack. Former second round pick Maxx Williams hasn’t produced as expected while starter Ben Watson is a free agent.

Inside Linebacker

Defensively the Ravens do not have many weaknesses but could always look to find another linebacker next to CJ Mosley. Patrick Onwuasor was good against the run but struggled dropping into coverage. With Kamalei Correa struggling with his transition inside Baltimore could look for another coverage linebacker.
