Key Picks

6.  Indianapolis Colts from New York Jets: Bradley Chubb EDGE NC State

If four quarterbacks end up going in the top five like in this scenario the Colts should be very happy. Even after trading down to six with the Jets the Colts still end up getting Chubb who is a top five player in this draft and fills a huge hole on their defense. While not quite on the level as some recent top EDGE rushers; Garrett, Bosa, Clowney and Mack, Chubb is still a dominant three down player capable of taking over games. He would instantly give the Colts a premier player to build their defense around.

16. Baltimore Ravens: Derrius Guice RB LSU

The Ravens current collection of running backs including Alex Collins, Kenneth Dixon and Javoris Allen is nice but they lack a true stud capable of being a true number one back. Derrius Guice is considered by some to be the top back in this class and regardless is a special talent at the running back position. Guice is a physical runner who should fit in well in the AFC North and would give he Ravens their best running back since Jamal Lewis.

21 Cincinnati Bengals: Connor Williams OT Texas

The Bengals recently traded for Cordy Glenn in a deal that included swapping 1st round picks with the Bills. With the addition of Glenn the Bengals have shored up one tackle positon but could use an upgrade opposite him as the duo of Cedric Ogbuehi and Jake Fisher have been massive busts so far. Williams was once seen as a sure fire top five pick but struggled in his last season at Texas and also missed time with an injury. The Bengals are the perfect team to gamble on his immense talent as he can start out on the right side before potentially moving to the left side.

29 Jacksonville Jaguars: Dallas Goedert TE South Dakota State

The Jaguars have built up a very formidable roster at this point and only have one glaring need on their roster, tight end. Sure they signed Austin Sefarian-Jenkins this off season but his NFL career this far has been pretty hit or miss. In Goedert the Jaguars would be getting another weapon for Blake Bortles whom they invested heavily in this off season. Goedert is a freak athlete who can play inline or out in the slot and would add a dynamic element to the Jag’s offense.

  1. I would hope that if LB Tremaine Edmunds is still there are #14, the Packers would draft him instead of Josh Jackson. I’d also pick OLB Marcus Davenport before Jackson. The good LBs are thinner in this draft than are the DBs.
