The speculation of whether or not the Kansas City Chiefs were actually dangling Marcus Peters as trade bait has finally been answered. Adam Schefter is reporting that the Chiefs and the Los Angeles Rams are in the final stages of a trade to send the talented, yet complicated, cornerback back to his home state of California. This trade makes sense in the fact that the Chiefs had reservations about if they had any chance of resigning Peters and another blockbuster trade by Brett Veach and company, who have been very active in the trade market since taking over for the departed John Dorsey.
The Chiefs are going to be a much different looking team next season. I will wait to see the full trade compensation before making any judgements but this offseason is starting to look like it is going to be a fun one.
